Medigap / Medicare Supplement

Medicare Supplement Plans, also known as Medigap, are an additional Medicare insurance strategy you can implement to help pay for medical expenses not covered by Original Medicare Part A and Part B such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.

Whereas Part A and Part B are available through the federal government, Medigap insurance policies are purchased separately and directly from private insurance companies.

Benefits & Differences

The benefits of all Medigap policies are consistent throughout the industry.  Differences among Medicare insurance companies include initial premiums, annual renewal premium percentage increases, and household discount amounts.  It is important to research and compare these factors.
